LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The KFC Yum! Center recently announced some upgrades ahead of their 15th anniversary, but the projects are going to impact drivers on 3rd Street.
To complete the reconstruction of the new roof, a large crane will have to be placed on the lower part of South 3rd Street, temporarily closing parts of it between River Road and Main Street.
The closure begins Monday and is expected to last through December.
The entrances to the parking garages at the Galt House Hotel and the KFC Yum! Center will not be blocked, and the closure will be lifted for all major arena events.
Additional closures may be required as work goes on and details will be announced in advance if needed.
