LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One of Louisville's popular bowling alley chains is closing its doors on yet another location.
Executive Strike & Spare announced on its Facebook page Tuesday night that the Phillips Lane location will be closing.
The bowling alley said in the post that after extensive talks with the Kentucky Fair Board, it was not in its future interest to continue business there.
The business has been granted a six-month extension to stay until the end of January 2025, with an option to stay up to an additional two years.
The Fern Valley location closed on Labor Day in 2023.
While those doors are closing, another set of doors are opening.
Officials with Executive Strike & Spare also included in the post that they will be building a new 45,000 square foot bowling alley in Jeffersontown.
Expected to open around Thanksgiving, it will include 34 lanes, a VIP suite, a full bar and restaurant, party areas, and an arcade.
