LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — East Louisville is going Greek this weekend as a popular cultural festival returns with food, music and family fun.
The two-day festival kicked off Friday evening at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, filling the grounds with the smell of authentic Greek cuisine, live cooking demonstrations and traditional dancing.
Visitors can sample classic dishes, watch chefs prepare recipes on-site and enjoy performances that showcase Greek culture and heritage.
Organizers said the event is designed to bring the community together through food, music and celebration.
If you missed Friday’s kickoff, the festival continues Saturday at the church.
