LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville firefighters had to overcome 'hoarder-like conditions' while battling a blaze in the Wyandotte neighborhood late Monday night.
It happened at a vacant, boarded up 1.5 story home just before 11:15 p.m. Monday in the 500 Block of Beecher Street, according to a news release from the Louisville Fire Department.
Louisville Fire officials said the fire started in the back corner of the house and traveled from the first floor to the second floor walls and attic.
It took 28 firefighters about 26 minutes to get the fire under control, according to the news release. Another engine company was called to assist.
No one was inside the home, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Louisville Fire Department reminds everyone to report suspicious activity around vacant properties.
