LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville firefighters were busy Saturday morning putting out a fire at a vacant building.
According to a news release from the Louisville Fire Department, crews were called out just before 7:30 a.m. to West Oak Street near South 16th Street.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the second floor of an unoccupied, boarded-up apartment.
An additional engine was requested as a back-up, and the fire was under control in about 15 minutes with the help of 29 firefighters.
The building sustained a lot of damage but fortunately no one was hurt. The cause remains under investigation.
