LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Boy Scouts across Kentuckiana are preparing for their annual Scouting for Food collection drive to benefit Dare to Care.

Starting Saturday, Nov. 11, scouts in the Lincoln Heritage Council, which covers Kentuckiana, Illinois and Tennessee, will be out in neighborhoods leaving door stickers about the food drive.

The following Saturday, Nov. 18, the Boy Scouts will return to pick up donations left by the front door. All the food collected will be delivered to Dare to Care.

ā€œIn 2022, more than 2,000 Scouts collected more than 200,000 food items across our 64 county service area,ā€ Jason Pierce, CEO and Scout Executive of the Lincoln Heritage Council, said in a news release. ā€œWe know the need is even greater this year, so we’re working hard to collect even more food.ā€

If a Boy Scout doesn't come to your neighborhood, you can bring donations to local drop-off locations. To find a drop-off location, click here.
