LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A west Louisville church was feeling the season of spring and took part in an annual spring clean up.
Christ Temple Christian Life Centers held a Community Care Day in west Louisville on Saturday.
Church members walked along Broadway and 45th streets in the Shawnee Neighborhood cleaning up the area with trash grabbers in hand and walked all the way to 35th street.
The event was open to everyone, not just members of the church.
"When you are in a clean nice environment it just makes people feel better," Michael Reed, Christ Temple Life Center CFO, said. "You're proud about your community, you're proud about the things going on in your community."
The church holds the event twice a year and the other will be this fall.
