LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's Parkland and Park DuValle neighborhoods will soon be transformed into winter wonderlands.

The Community Covenant Connection is hosting a Home Decor Contest.

It's a friendly competition meant to spread joy, spark creativity and bring neighbors together.

Residents are encouraged to show their holiday spirit and light up the block with their most festive holiday displays.

"From twinkling lights and glowing ornaments, to snow globes, inflatables, candy canes, festive floats and holiday magic galore, C3 is inviting residents to bring Christmas to life right at home," organizers said in a news release on Monday. "The contest celebrates community pride, imagination, and the joy that comes from lighting up our blocks — together."

Neighbors, families and community members will vote for their favorite decorated home.

Cash prizes will be awarded when the winners are announced on Christmas Day.

Registration for the contest is open until Dec. 19. Residents who want to participate can call (502) 448-0092.
