LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new advance materials and battery manufacturing facility is coming to Louisville, bringing hundreds of new jobs.

Friday, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced Anthro Engery, Inc. will build a $42 million facility in Louisville, creating 110 full-time quality jobs in addition to about 390 construction jobs.

“Kentucky’s manufacturing industry is setting the pace of our historic economic momentum,” said Gov. Beshear in a release.

The new facility will be Anthro Energy's first operation in Kentucky, focusing on advance electrolyte production. The company has developed its own proprietary injectable phase-chance electrolyte that can be used in a wide range of battery products such as consumer, defense and automotive.

The company hopes to produce more than 12,000 metric tons of its proprietary electrolyte per year at the Kentucky facility, creating the need for several high-skilled, high-performance positions. Some of the positions that will be available include production manufacturing technicians, process and control engineers, facility managers, accounting roles and maintenance and warehouse technicians.
