LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kids in Louisville’s Parkland neighborhood now have a new place to build community.
A Dream Court was unveiled Tuesday at the Boys & Girls Club of Kentuckiana.
"This court isn't just a place to play – it's a dedicated space where our young people and community can learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, supportive environment," the club said on social media.
The court was donated by Nancy Lieberman Charities in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Lieberman, a basketball hall of famer and Olympian, attended the event and the project was inspired by lessons she learned from Louisville legend Muhammad Ali.
"He taught me about being an everyday champion. He taught me to be the giver and not the taker," Lieberman said.
After the ribbon-cutting, local kids tested out the court during a basketball clinic.
Lieberman’s nonprofit has donated more than 135 Dream Courts nationwide, providing safe places for kids to play and connect with their communities.
