LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- When it comes to saving a drug user from an overdose, quick action means the difference between life and death.
That's why Louisville officials want to teach everyone what to do in an emergency.
The Louisville Health Department is hosting a Naloxone 101 training course on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m.
Naloxone -- commonly known under the brand name Narcan -- is the over-the-counter treatment for opioid overdoses.
Wednesday's interactive training session will be held at the Bon Air Library on Del Rio Place.
Participants will also receive free Naloxone to take home after the program.
