WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Several homes went up in flames in an Indiana neighborhood just northwest of Indianapolis.

The flames began around 3 p.m. Friday after a neighbor reported hearing a loud boom and noticed five homes on fire.

Firefighters were able to get the fires under control but not before the homes began to crumble.

The county's emergency management agency is helping those affected by the fires.

The cause has yet to be determined.
