LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- "Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom" is back with Halloween fun for the whole family.
The theme park in Louisville is showcasing more than 1,000 bright orange pumpkins that glow in the dark throughout the park again this year, including four 12-foot pumpkin sculptures: a Derby Horse, Glowing Cat, Spider and The Pumpkinseeds.
It's a seasonal celebration full of autumn color, character greetings, glowing sculptures and kid-friendly fun. A good place to start is Discovery Meadow, which features plenty of rides for younger guests, including Scout’s Squirrel Race, Garden Carousel, Seed Spinner and Nature’s Bounty.
Young guests can also explore a friendly hay maze and stroll down the Trick-or-Treat Trail where costumed hosts hand out candy at every stop. Spooky costumes are welcome and encouraged.Â
Families can also enjoy Kentucky Kingdom rides during the event — even at night.Â
There's also plenty of food options, including caramel apples, a pulled pork sandwich with pumpkin barbecue sauce and hand-dipped pumpkin ice cream.Â
