LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A TV reality star has become a Kentucky Colonel.Ā

In an Instagram post, historic Locust Grove posted a picture of reality TV star Rick Harrison of "Pawn Stars Do America" with his Kentucky Colonel certificate.Ā

Harrison received his Kentucky Colonel status during the latest episode ofĀ "Pawn Stars Do America" called "Bluegrass Bounty," which aired on Nov. 8.

The cast, made up of Rick Harrison, his son Corey Harrison and Chumlee (Austin Lee Russell), journeyed to the commonwealth looking for treasures, making stops in Lexington, Versailles at the Kentucky Castle, and Locust Grove, where Harrison was presented his Kentucky Colonel certificate.Ā

The honor of Kentucky Colonel comes directly from the Kentucky governor. People who receive the title show a strong sense of character, leadership and dedication to the welfare of others, according to the Kentucky Colonel website.Ā

Hundreds of people turned out during the Pawn Stars' stops to get a chance to see the stars and try to sell their treasures.

A University of Kentucky Basketball collection presented by head coach John Calipari, a 1941 Ford Coupe Deluxe and a Colonel Sanders portrait were some of the treasures featured in the episode. Harrison ended up purchasing the Colonel Sanders portrait for $1,900.

"Pawn Stars Do America" airs Wednesdays on the History Channel.
