LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Federal authorities said they have made the largest methamphetamine seizure in Indiana history.

According to reporting from FOX59, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's Indianapolis Division announced Friday that agents seized more than 800 pounds of methamphetamine during an operation in the Indianapolis area earlier this week.

The DEA said the investigation involved multiple agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations and the Indiana State Police.

Officials confirmed that this is the largest single seizure of meth in Indiana state history.

No further details, including where the meth was seized or if any arrests were made, was immediately available.

The DEA said more details will be released "in the near future."
