LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Those being released from jail in one southern Indiana county are getting help from a local family's generous donation.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office recently received a shipping container full of new clothes and shoes.
Sheriff Jerry Goodin said the family who made the donation wanted to remain anonymous, and said "the thanks and glory all go to God."
The container itself was also part of the donation. The items will be given to inmates being released from jail who may have lost their clothing while being incarcerated, can't afford to buy new ones when they leave jail, or need them for a job interview.
Goodin said Scott County has seen success in educating inmates and giving them job skills, and this donation will contribute to that progress.
