LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- We have a winner for the St. Jude's Dream Home!
Jenny Sorrels from Louisville, Ky. was announced as the winner on Thursday morning! The entry was chosen from the 8,500 tickets sold.
It didn't take long for her to drive to Mt. Washington to tour her new home. "Wow, it's a beautiful home. Beautiful. Beautiful," said Sorrels. She was surprised by the win and couldn't say whether she'd sell her current home and move in. "I can't even think much less make a decision. I don't know what I'm doing. This is awesome!"
Money raised from the annual event benefits the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which covers all costs for kids and their families receiving medical treatment.
Founder and entertainer Danny Thomas opened the doors to St. Jude in 1962 with the dream that “no child should die in the dawn of life."
Details of the St. Jude Dream Home in the Bluegrass Meadows:
- 176 Meadow Rose Lane
- Mt. Washington, KY 40047
