LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Toys for Tots kicked off its Marine Corps challenge Friday morning bright and early.

The donation challenge is scheduled to last 12 hours and is happening through 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1.

Last year, they collected 6,800 toys donated by community members. This year, they hope to break that record.

Donations can be dropped off at Paristown, Mission BBQ and all Louisville and Jefferson County fire departments, as well as all 41 Stock Yards Bank locations in Louisville.

All donations will be brought to the Fête de Noël festival to be delivered to Santa at Light Up Louisville on Dec. 2.
