LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville was nominated for the Best Riverwalk in the country by USA Today's 2025 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, an annual public voting contest.

This year, Waterfront Park beat out the Tampa Riverwalk and Wilmington Riverwalk, which finished second and third, respectively, according to a news release Wednesday. 

"We are so grateful to everyone who voted for Waterfront Park to be named Best Riverwalk in the country," Deborah Bilitski, president and executive director of Waterfront Park, said in a news release. "This shows just how important and impactful Waterfront Park is to our community. For the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to activate, maintain, and enhance the park, this honor is incredibly rewarding, affirming their passion and commitment to creating a space that enriches the lives of all who visit."

Waterfront Park has more than 2.4 million visitors each year.
