Darrell Griffith has returned to the University of Louisville as an "ambassador," to work out of the university's advancement office.

Griffith had previously worked for the university in the director of advancement for community relations from 2006 to 2017, but was let go, along with former basketball coach Denny Crum, as part of university downsizing.
Griffith, also known as Dr. Dunkenstein, helped the Cards win their first national championship in 1980 before becoming an NBA star.
