LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kenny McPeek's Thorpedo Anna ran away with the 150th Kentucky Oaks race Friday on a sloppy track at Churchill Downs, leading for the majority of the race in a dominant performance.

The morning line favorite, Just F Y I, trained by Bill Mott, made a late run down the stretch but couldn't catch Thorpedo Anna. Both horses went off at 7-2 odds.

Regulatory Risk, a 29-1 longshot trained by Chad Brown, came in third.

The rain let up as the day wore on, leaving a soggy track for the 5:51 p.m. post time.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms were expected throughout the day with the temperatures topping out in the upper 70s. But a little rain didn't keep the crowds away from Churchill Downs. People were prepared to be there, rain or shine.
