LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The four finalists for this year's Derby Burger Challenge have been selected.
Kentucky Derby Festival said there were more than 13,000 online votes for the competition. According to a news release, this year's chefs includeĀ Ira Mowman of Louisville with the Kentucky Fiesta Cheese Burger, Bette Niemi of Louisville with the Perfect Peppery Prosciutto Burger, Steve Rossell of Louisville with The Cowboy, and Greg Yopp of La Grange with the Brielicious Burger.
Dozens of recipes were submitted for the competition.Ā
The final cook-off is scheduled for March 10 at the Kroger in Middletown. That's when the 2025 Derby Burger Champion will be named.
According to a news release, the winning burger will be featured at Kroger's Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront.Ā
