LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Kentucky Derby Festival unveiled its 2026 poster on Friday.

The poster, by artist Shae Goodlett, shows off the Louisville skyline and the Belle of Louisville.

"I wanted to create an illustration that looked like a vintage travel poster for Louisville," Goodlett said in a news release. "I drew the image digitally, but it was important to me that the design felt hand drawn. I leaned into the spontaneity of mark making and color application, creating moments in the piece that might be hard to replicate even for myself. I think this approach holds an energy like the events of the Derby Festival itself."

Goodlett began his illustration career as a weekly contributor for "Louisville Magazine." His work has been featured in "Sports Illustrated," the White House Visitor Center and Heaven Hill Distillery.
