The measures seek to attract companies making a $2 billion investment in Kentucky, including at a state-owned site in Glendale, Ky., where officials failed to land a Hyundai plant in 2002.
A forgivable loan, made possible in a bipartisan bill approved this month, is part of a state aid package Ford Motor Co. is likely to seek for the Hardin County work, Gov. Andy Beshear’s office says.
Beshear said the plants mark the "single-largest investment in the history of the state" and the largest number of jobs ever announced at one time.
