LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new restaurant will bring a taste of the Carolinas to Louisville's food scene.
Asheville, North Carolina,-based Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen and Bar plans to open a location on Ballardsville Road, next to the new Publix Supermarket, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.
The restaurant is known for its homemade, farm-to-table menu, including staples like biscuits, fried pickles, fried green tomatoes and fried chicken. It also serves local craft beers.
The chain has about 25 locations nationwide, including one in Indianapolis. The Louisville restaurant will be 5,438 square feet and is expected to cost $1.4 million to build.
No dates for construction or an anticipated opening have been announced yet.
