Keturah Herron wins District 42 special election

Voters elected Democrat Keturah Herron during a special election on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, to fill the District 42 seat in the Kentucky House. (WDRB photo)

Herron, a Democrat, will make history as the first openly-LGBTQ Kentuckian elected to the state House.
The office would be created within the state's Department for Public Health.
