Louisville's animal shelter is continuing asking for people to adopt or pick up their dogs because they remain at overflow. (WDRB photo)

Cramped kennels have forced the city to go back to euthanizing dogs and the shelter can't adopt its way out of the problem.
LMAS said many dogs will not make it out of the shelter this week without immediate intervention.
Louisville Metro Animal Services said Thursday it's at Code Red, meaning there are no open kennels.
