It happened just before 8 a.m. Wednesday near 11th and Chestnut streets, near Coleridge-Taylor Montessori Elementary School and Central High School.Â
District 1 Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins said during a news conference that there needs to be more accountability.
The Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney said Thursday that anyone 15 years or older who commits a felony with a gun will automatically be charged as an adult.
