LMPD said in a social media post around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday that what had previously been called a "critical investigation" was a shooting involving one of its officers.

Randall Allen was shot by police in the drive-thru line of the store's pharmacy in late August as he tried to steal a woman's minivan. 

LMPD released body camera footage of police shooting a man armed with two guns who tried to carjack a woman in a drive-thru at Walmart.
