It's one of only six library branches across the country to receive the honor.
The libraries are donating their computer power to COVID-19 research focused on diseases as part of a project called "Folding@Home," according to a news release.
A drive-thru kindergarten kick-off event will take place at the South Central Regional Library, 7300 Jefferson Blvd., on Aug. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m.
