More than 1,000 veterans receive COVID-19 vaccine at Louisville VA hospital

Staff at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center on Zorn Avenue administered more than 1,100 doses during a drive-thru event Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, in Louisville, Ky.

The VA hospital had been only administering doses to those age 85 and older but received an additional allotment of doses from Moderna that allowed it to expand its eligibility to those 65 and older.
The Robley Rex VA Medical Center located on Zorn Avenue in Louisville is offering vaccinations to enrolled veterans 40 years and older.
More than 36% of adults in the Commonwealth have gotten their first shot.
