LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An 11-year-old from Kentucky diagnosed with leukemia received a trip to the 100th East-West Shrine Bowl.
Mason, a Kosair Kid, will attend the annual college football all-star game in Dallas Jan. 30. Kosair for Kids has provided assistance for Mason's cancer treatments at Kentucky Children's Hospital in Lexington.Â
Mason and his family will get to experience the all-star game, media day, Hall of Fame dinner and on-field recognition during the contest.
Four players from Kentucky schools will compete in the all-star game. University of Louisville's Ja'Corey Brooks and Corey Thornton, University of Kentucky's Jamon Dumas-Johnson and Eastern Kentucky University's Mike Smith will play in the all-star game that starts at 8 p.m.
