18-year-old shot and killed in the Jacobs neighborhood, Louisville police say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An 18-year-old man is dead after a shooting in the Jacobs neighborhood.

In a written statement, LMPD Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said officers were called to a shooting in the 3700 block of West Wheatmore Drive just after 12:45 a.m. Thursday morning.

That's where they found an 18-year-old boy that had been shot multiple times. He was taken to University Hospital where he later died.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating and there are no suspects at this time.
