LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 72-year-old Jeffersonville resident is dead after a crash in southern Indiana Wednesday afternoon.
In a post on social media, Jeffersonville Police said officers responded to a head-on crash near the intersection of Salem Road and Cox Street, off East 10th Street, around 2:30 p.m.
Police said the drivers of both cars were taken to University of Louisville Hospital where a 72-year-old died from their injuries. Their identity hasn't been released.
The other driver's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Police said the cause of the crash doesn't appear to be criminal, but JPD's Traffic Crash Investigation Team is investigating, with help from Indiana State Police.
