LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One of the largest and most popular art shows in the region has taken over Old Louisville this week.

Thousands of people attended the second day of the St. James Court Art Show on Saturday. More than 600 artists from around the country displayed and sold their works.

The show takes up several square blocks with sculptures, painters, food and drinks. It's a premiere event for artists.

"It's great," said artist Tomisha Lovely-Allen. "One of the things I love about art fairs is to be able to connect with people. I just love the face-to-face connection and I feel the art is being able to be received better when you actually able to see it up close and touch it."

The show also receives national attention because it is located in the middle of the largest section of restored Victorian homes in the U.S.

The show goes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
