ATV accident sends teenager to hospital with serious injuries

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41)---An ATV accident in Marion County, sends a teenager to the hospital with serious injuries.

Kentucky State Police say this happened Saturday evening on Scotts Ridge Road.

They say 17-year-old James Ray Stump of Mt. Washington attempted to make a turn onto Dry Fork Road, lost control, and hit a tree.

Stump was not wearing a helmet.

He was airlifted to U of L Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

His passenger, 17-year-old Kayla Payne of Shepherdsville, was treated and released at Spring View Hospital.
