LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A house fire caused significant damage to a home in Louisville's Glenmary neighborhood Thursday evening.

According to Fern Creek Fire Department Assistant Chief Dewayne Hutchins, crews were dispatched just before 6 p.m. to the 10000 block of Hall Farm Court on a report of a fire with a possible rescue.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames coming from the home. Hutchins said strong winds helped the fire spread quickly throughout the structure, leading to extensive damage.

The people inside the home were able to get out before crews arrived. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
