LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Baptist Health La Grange celebrated the grand opening of its new Behavioral Health services inpatient unit in Oldham County.
A ribbon cutting was held Thursday morning for the brand new unit at the Baptist Health La Grange Hospital on New Moody Lane.
The $10 million project includes 11 all-private rooms, a secure outdoor area and dedicated spaces for specialized therapy.
"The unit that you will see today increases access to the mental health services and removes barriers to care by being close to home for our patients," Baptist Health La Grange President Clint Kaho said.
Baptist Health said the new unit has only publicly available inpatient Behavioral Health beds in Oldham, Henry, Trimble, Carroll or Shelby County.
