LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Skills and the mastery of hair styling will be on full display later this week for a good cause.
The Black Recharge: Hair Show is happening Friday, Feb. 28 from 7-10:30 p.m. at the Whirling Tiger on Story Avenue. There will be style competitions, vendors and an informational panel.
It will highlight community activism like local nonprofit Change Today Change Tomorrow and benefit those with food insecurities.
"We do anything we can whenever someone approaches us needing help, whether that be food, diapers, or any other type of resource that we can provide," said Darren Montgomery, event and operations manager.
Tickets start at $30 for general admission. People can also get VIP access for $100, which includes a cocktail party at 6 p.m., VIP seating and four drink tickets.
