LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Six local businesses will open stores in Norton Commons retail market later this month.
Norton Commons North Village Market is located at 6301 Moonseed St. The cottages that house businesses are typically open from 4-8 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. A farmers market is held from 1-4 p.m. Sundays starting April 28.
The local businesses for this year include:
- Imagine - home accessories and décor
- Willett-Stone Farm - organic produce and flowers
- Al Reef - Mediterranean foods and goods
- Harelds - men’s clothing and accessories
- 808 Permanent - jewelry and accessories
- Oh My Lollies - frozen fruit bars
Norton Commons built the cottages to support small businesses.
"The concept is working exactly as intended," Marilyn Osborn Patterson, Norton Commons marketing director and general counsel, said in a news release. "Several businesses formerly based in the cottages have gone on to start their own larger brick and mortar here in the neighborhood. Our yearly cottage lineups keep getting better and better, and I’m confident one or two of these will make the same leap."
An opening celebration will be held t 3 p.m. April 26. Norton Commons will then host its weekly Food Truck Friday.Â
