Ale-8 announces blackberry flavor as permanent addition to lineup

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ale-8 has a new permanent flavor.

Blackberry Ale-8 joins the permanent flavor line up after being previously available during seasonal limited releases. The blackberry flavored soda debuted in 2022.

"Our fans have spoken loud and clear. We knew Blackberry Ale-8 was special, but the passion and demand for its return have been incredible," Kevin Price, chief marketing officer of Ale-8-One Bottling Company, said in an news release Tuesday. "We couldn't ignore the enthusiasm. It belongs in our lineup permanently."

The flavor will be available in select areas in April with a gradual rollout. It will be more widely available in May.

Ale-8-One was founded in 1902 in Winchester, Kentucky. It remains the oldest privately held bottler in the United States, still owned and operated by the founding family.
