LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Auto supplier Grupo Antolin, which makes interior components like doors, seats, lighting and instrument panels, will establish a new operation with two facilities on Westport Road, Mayor Greg Fischer and Gov. Steve Beshear said in news releases Monday.
One of the company's newly leased buildings is at 12520 Westport Road -- near Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant -- according to state tax incentive documents.
Grupo Antolin, a family-owned company based in Spain, will create 200 jobs at the new facilities by the fourth year of operation. The jobs will pay on average $17.50 an hour -- or $36,400 per year, not including benefits, according to the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.
“We are happy to announce the opening of a new plant to fulfill our customer needs and deliver the best service,” said Pablo Baroja, president of Grupo Antolin in North America, in a news release. “In Kentucky, we have found the perfect environment to make business and expand our footprint in the U.S.”
Grupo Antolin is expected to invest $13.7 million in the facilities, and the company will be able to recoup up to $4 million over 7 years in financial incentives from the state and Louisville Metro government.
Grupo Antolin already has a plant in Hopkinsville, Ky., which employs nearly 350 people, according to Beshear's office.
