LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- Baptist Health officially broke ground on a new emergency room and urgent care facility next to the Ivy Tech Community College campus in Sellersburg.

The project is a big win for the community and gives Ivy Tech students the chance to get hands-on clinical experience.

The facility will be a fully licensed emergency room with an urgent care center under the same roof. Patients will only be billed for the care they receive.

“By putting the patient first and removing financial anxiety, we really think we’re transforming healthcare service delivery,” said Garett Jackson, Chief Financial Officer. of Intuitive Health

Construction has begun, and the facility is expected to serve both students and the broader Sellersburg community once completed.
