LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The company that puts on Bourbon & Beyond every year in Louisville is compensating people who re-sold their tickets and never got their money.
Danny Wimmer Presents endorsed nationwide ticketing company Lyte as the official resale website, but it shut down before the festival in September with no warning.Â
The unexpected closure left sellers in the dark about their money. At the time, Danny Wimmer Presents asked fans to provide them with confirmation information for ticket re-sales.
In a post on the Bourbon & Beyond Facebook page Friday, organizers said they will directly compensate ticket resellers affected by the unexpected closure of Lyte.
"We were just as surprised as you to hear about Lyte's unexpected closing, and we understand how frustrating this is — especially if you sold your passes through them and didn't get paid. Our fans are our top priority, so if you resold your Bourbon & Beyond pass(es) via Lyte, you will be receiving compensation on behalf of DWP. If you resold via Lyte, please check your inbox for compensation details," the post read.
