LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Brown-Forman is committing some of the profits from the sale of its Finlandia Vodka to philanthropy.
Friday, the corporation announced a $22.5 million commitment to the Brown-Forman Foundation and Dendrifund.
Officials said $20 million of the profits will go to the Foundation, which focuses on promoting sustainable living, ensuring essential living standards and enriching the arts in Louisville.
The remaining funds will go to Dendrifund, a nonprofit aimed at advocating sustainability within the whiskey industry. It focuses on the natural resources needed for whiskey distillation and aging, including grains, water and wood.
