LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Rainbow Blossom announced plans to open a sixth Louisville location.

The natural foods store is planning to take over the space recently vacated by Paul's Fruit Market on Brownsboro Road in Holiday Manor.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us to continue to be a resource of all things wellness related in the Louisville area," owner Summer Auerbach said in a news release Thursday. "We hope to utilize the ample outdoor space in creative ways to host events, sell seasonal items, and perhaps even a play area and/or outdoor seating. All of these aspects support our mission of supporting our community in health and wellness."

The new location will include produce, groceries, gifts, supplements, and grab-n-go food items. There will also be a full-service Blossom Bar offering smoothies, smoothie bowls and juices.

Renovations will begin in March, and Rainbow Blossom plans to open the location this summer. Paul's Fruit Market, which has been in business since 1945, is now located at 4990 US 42, near Glen Eagle Drive in the Northfield neighborhood.

Auerbach's parents founded Rainbow Blossom in 1977. It currently has locations in St. Matthews, Middletown, Springhurst, New Albany and the Gardiner Lane neighborhood.
