LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new neighborhood featuring hundreds of homes is planned for one of Jeffersonville's fastest-growing areas.

According to our partners at Louisville Business First, construction has started on Kings Crossing, a 200-home residential development off Charlestown Pike near River Ridge and adjacent to the Kings family's horse farm.

The neighborhood will feature homes with French cottage-inspired architecture and exterior finishes made entirely of brick or stone. Floor plans will range from about 1,600-1,700 square feet and include three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Homes are expected to sell for between $360,000-$375,000. The project will be completed in four phases over the next several years. Builders have already begun work on the first homes, with foundations poured for the initial phase.

Beyond new homes, Kings Crossing is planned with amenities including walking trails, sidewalks and a stormwater detention basin. Plans also include preserving green space throughout the neighborhood.
