LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Neighbors in the Highlands will have a chance to come together to talk about what's next for the Mid City Mall.
The mall on Bardstown Road is still up for sale after being listed last November. It's been a staple in the community since 1962 and still has about a dozen businesses inside.
Metro Councilman Ben Reno-Weber, D-8, represents the area and wants to hear from residents before a sale happens to "lead with community values."
Reno-Weber's office is partnering with the Tyler Park Neighborhood Association to host two Mid City Mall listening sessions.
The sessions will be held at the Highlands-Shelby Park Library inside Mid City Mall next Friday, May 23 at 8:30 a.m. and Tuesday, June 17 at 6 p.m.
Reno-Weber said he wants to hear from community members sharing what matters to them when it comes to the future of Mid City Mall and the businesses inside.
