LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana restaurant that has only been open for five months is now temporarily closed.

By Golly's, located atĀ 941 E. Lewis & Clark Parkway in Clarksville, closed Feb. 1 and has remained temporarilyĀ closed due to a plumbing issue, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.Ā

A broken waste line caused a sewer smell to permeate the restaurant when customers used the bathrooms.

ā€œIt was affecting our business. And the decrease in traffic was impacting our wait staff," Lance Sizemore, CEO of Epic Eeats, the restaurant's parent company, told LBF. "We've been back and forth with the landlord about it. So, we decided to close so we can fix it.ā€

Sizemore told LBF there is no timeline for reopening, but the company is working to fix the plumbing issue.

By Golly's opened inĀ September 2025Ā in the former Hooters building, and employs about 75 people. The restaurant is known for its burgers, hoagies, flatbreads and appetizers like wings and loaded nachos.Ā
