LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning on Dixie Highway, according to Shively police.
Officers were called to the intersection of Dixie Highway and San Jose Avenue around 5:44 a.m. for a reported pedestrian crash. When they arrived, they found a woman in her 40s who had been hit by a vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver involved stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges are expected.
Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the crash.
